The Magic Whip Review.

“The Magic Whip “is the latest album from British band Blur after not making an album for over sixteen years together, the group of four are back with a rather good album that reminds me of albums like “13” and “The Great Escape”. The album kicks of with a rather repetitive track named “Lonesome Street “that has a riff that reminds me of “Coffee And TV”, as this track finishes it goes into a rather psychedelic and slow track named “New World Towers”, with this album there’s no doubting that it’s a Blur album from Damon’s clear cut clever vocals to the slow riff’s from guitarists Alex James and Graham Coxon, the album keeps up with the weird slow psychedelic type theme with third track “Go Out”, the main theme in this album seem to be dislocation which is heard in opening track “Lonesome Street” ,this album shares genes with all previous blur albums, but it cant avoid being very different from their last album “Think Tank “released in 2003. Sadly by track four “ice cream man “I

Glitterbug Review.

"Glitterbug”. Is The Wombats’ third studio album, after a long hiatus the three boys from the town of Liverpool have retuned with a rather disappointing new album. After discovering the wombats in the year 2011 after seeing them at t4 on the beach (weirdly) and hearing techno fan I knew that 12 year old Libby would some day appreciate the music that the wombats made, and a couple of months later that's when my massive wombats phrase hit. So you imagine how I felt when hearing they would be going on a hiatus, but I soon got over it, sometimes I would find myself listening to them but that was about it. Until earlier on this year the wombats were back and releasing a new song called "Greek Tragedy" I saw the majority of people talking about it on social media but I wasn't that bothered until I actually heard the song, and all them feelings from I was 12 years old had returned. Glitterbug isn't all that bad I mean it has some good songs on but overall I fou

Tyler The Creator-CherryBomb Album Review.

“ CherryBomb”is the third studio album from rapper and lead member of rap group “Odd Future “Tyler the creator. And I have to say I’m rather shocked by this album, but shocked in a good way. We all know Tyler has many different layers to him he can be the caring guy that every girl wants and loves, but on the other hand he can be controlling and a bit of a sociopath, and I feel like this album shows that. This album seems to bring out every layer and every type of music that Tyler wishes to create, we can see the classic heavy bass and rap in songs like “deathcamp”and “buffalo “but Tyler turns it around in songs like “the brown stains of darkeese latifah part 6-12” and “keep the o’s”, and to be honest this album has really surprised me by how good it is, although I have to say I have heard so many mixed reviews and feelings towards this album many people have said it is nothing compared to his past two albums “Wolf” and “Goblin”, but many other people have said its very good and

Drenge Undertow Review.

Drenge. A now three piece band formed in the year 2011 by two brothers Rory and Eion Loveless, released their second studio album “Undertow “this week on infectious records. And I have to say I’m extremely impressed by this 11-track album. Drenge know for there teenage angst sound have created yet again another brilliant album, just like their first debut album self-titled “Drenge”relased in 2013. Undertow has a mixture of heavy bass lines and raw sounding drum solo’s to almost mellow sounds seen in songs like “Running Wild” and “Standing In The Cold”, the album begins with a one minute 13 seconds intro cleverly named “introduction “which then continues into “running wild”. Now I’ve only listened to this album four times but I have to say I feel like “running wild “is one of my favorites’ from this album and I can see it as a big hit for Drenge. Although this eleven track album has no more major vaults with it, I cant help but think songs like “Never Awake “and “The Snake” wer

Album's That Matter.

As Hole's iconic second album ‘Live Through This’ approaches its 21st year release date, I have decided to write a piece on this wonderful album, and why I see it as one of the most iconic and important albums of the 90s era of American alternative rock. Hole, formed in 1989 Los Angeles, comprising of lead singer, Courtney Love, who would later be the wife of Nirvana's front man Kurt Cobain, and lead guitarist Eric Erlandson. Known for its ‘revolving door’ of bassists and drummers, released their first album ‘Pretty on the Inside’ in the summer of 1991. After the successful release of their debut, Hole began to get some praise and gain a reputation within the underground clubs and grunge scene of LA. A vast majority of people seem to label Hole's sophomore album as too ‘mainstream’ and ‘generic’ and found great difficulty when deciding upon the album’s genre. Could it be because the grunge scene grew in popularity throughout America, bands like Hole we
